Art Grant Criteria

Awards will be judged on budget, sketches, finalized build time: 30% Art, 30% Appropriates for the event, 20% Ease of execution, onsite plan and 20% interactivity. Entrants must submit an overview of their proposed art installation by March 31, 2024 with the following criteria :

Detailed description of project including dimensions of total footprint, weight, materials used etc. ? what will be pre-built and what will require assemble onsite?
Itemized total budget required? Requested grant amount?
Estimated onside build time, number of crew members, heavy machinery requirements, special power requirements for the build and for function.
Transportation costs separate from materials needed?
Suggested placement requirements? ie level ground, footings, foundation specify power for operation.
How long will it take to disassemble or deconstruct your installation? Include your plan for LNT, Leave No Trace.

Flaming Cheese Burn Art Grants

Flaming Cheese has modest grants available for artists with original art installation ideas and new work. We prioritize funding art which involves the audience in tis conception, creation and presentation. Additionally we look for work that stands on its own as an interactive physical installation. We do not fund theme camps, food or alcohol. The artwork does not need to be tied to this years theme, " The Knights Who Say Brie".
